JOLLYROGER 2.0
- To start the software, tap its icon on the Applications screen.
- To activate/deactivate the software click on the "Activate" checkbox.
- Make sure a Storage Card (Secure Digital for Palm devices or Memory Stick
for Sony devices) is inserted before taking pictures.
- To take a picture, press the "Date Book" hardware button.
- The picture will be saved on the Storage Card in the "\Palm\JollyRoger2"
folder as the usual Windows BMP file. Thus no convertation is necessary to
use the BMP file.
- To get the picture from the Storage Card, you should put the card into a
Card Reader (special hardware device) and then copy the BMP file on your
desktop computer. The other way of getting the picture is to put the card
into a Pocket PC device and get the picture using the Explore operation of ActiveSync.

Install on Palm OS device
Attention! If you use PiLoc or other localization software on your Pilot/Palm you
should install JollyRoger before localization software!
So to install JollyRoger:
- Remove localization software
- Fulfil soft reset to your Palm
- Install JRoger.prc file on your Palm using standart Installation tool (file
InstApp.exe from Palm Desktop directory)
- On Palm go to Jolly Roger application and press button "Install Jolly Roger".
- Reinstall PiLoc or other localization program
Use on Palm OS device
Whenever you want to make screenshot press hardware button "PageDown" and current
screen will be saved in Jolly Rogers's database.
Press HotSync button when you
make all desired screenshots.
Attention! You should press button "Install Jolly
Roger" after each soft reset of Palm.
Use on PC
- Copy pdb2bmp.exe file to Palm Desktop Directory\User Name\Backup directory
- In Palm Desktop Directory\User Name\Backup directory execute following command:
pdb2bmp JRoger.pdb output_directory
where output_directory -
directory for resulting bmp files.
Uninstall from Palm OS device
Perform soft reset on your Palm and then delete Jolly Roger from Memory application.
